Inclusion Team

Our Inclusion Team works to ensure all our children have what they need to fully engage in their learning by recognising and securing whatever additional support and resources they may require. We want each child to feel that their voice is heard, that they feel a sense of belonging at school and that they have all they need to thrive.

 

Our Inclusion Team comprises of:

 

  • Sarah Currie
    • SENDCo (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Co-Ordinator)
    • Over twenty years teaching experience
    • Training in Children and Young People’s Mental Health
    • Experience in planning and delivering focused interventions for children with a range of SEND, including ADHD, ASD, dyslexia and speech & language delay
    • Experienced in delivering full class, small group and 1 to 1 interventions
    • Responsible for EHCPs.

 

  • Emma Price
    • Deputy SEND Co (Deputy Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Co-Ordinator)
    • Over 15 years teaching experience
    • Experience in planning and delivering focused interventions for children with a range of SEND, including ADHD, ASD, dyslexia and speech & language delay
    • Experienced in delivering full class, small group and 1 to 1 interventions
    • Responsible for IEPs.

 

  • Sophie McInnes
    • Learning Mentor Over 15 years teaching support experience
    • Training in Children and Young People’s Mental Health
    • Experience in delivering focused interventions for children with a range of SEND, including ADHD, ASD, dyslexia and speech & language delay
    • Focus on pastoral support and delivering therapeutic interventions
    • Experienced in delivering full class, small group and 1 to 1 interventions.

 

  • June Varley
    • Governor for SEND,
    • Safeguarding & Inclusion Nursery/Early Years teacher at a primary school in West Lancashire, where she is also SENDCo, Looked After Children Designated Teacher, Designated Safeguarding Lead & Geography subject leader.
