Deputy Head Teacher / Year 6 Teacher / SLT

I am Mrs Horton, Deputy Head at Ormskirk West End, where I have proudly worked for 17 years. I teach Upper KS2 and currently lead a Year 6 class. I am passionate about English, maths, and art- leading these subjects across school. Being able to inspire children to explore, create, and achieve their potential is the reason I became a teacher. I also serve as the school’s EVC Lead and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) ensuring our pupils are safe, supported, and enriched through learning beyond the classroom. My goal is to give every child the best start, fostering curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.
