At Ormskirk West End children learn through doing — hands-on, memorable, and built around how children actually learn. Come and see what that looks like.

The best way to find out if we’re right for your child is to come and visit.

Choosing a school is personal. You have questions specific to your child, your family, your situation. A big group open morning doesn't always give you space to ask them.

That's why I offer private tours for prospective parents. It's just you, me, and your child — a proper walk around the school while lessons are happening, and a conversation tailored to what matters to you.

    How long? 30–45 minutes

When? Flexible — choose a time that suits you

For: Any parent considering Ormskirk West End for their child

    What to expect

We warmly invite prospective parents to visit our school and experience what makes our community so special. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to see the school in action, tour our site and grounds, and get a real feel for daily life here.

You will be welcomed with a cup of tea and a biscuit, and our Head Teacher will be available to answer any questions you may have. There will also be a chance to meet members of staff, learn more about our approach to learning, and see first-hand how happy, confident, and engaged our children are.

We look forward to welcoming you and helping you discover all that our school has to offer.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to have already applied? No. Most parents visit before they apply — that's exactly what these tours are for.

Can I bring my child? Yes, please do. It helps enormously for them to see the school too.

How is this different from an Open Morning? Open mornings are a great way to see the school in full flow with other families. A personal tour gives you my undivided attention and time to discuss your child specifically.

What if my child has additional needs? A personal tour is ideal for this. We'll have time to discuss your child's needs in detail and I can show you the specific provision we have in place.

Can I come outside school hours? Yes — I offer some before-school and after-school slots for working parents. Just let me know what works.

Is there any obligation? None at all. This is just a chance to see the school and ask your questions.

Is parking available?  Yes, there is parking available on-site.
