We are excited to launch our new Reading for Pleasure initiative, West End Wonders: From West End to Wonderland, One Book at a Time. Throughout the year, children will have the opportunity to choose and enjoy books from a carefully curated list of age-appropriate titles, combining both contemporary and classic fiction that are engaging, challenging, and tailored to each year group. To celebrate their achievements, children who complete ten books across the year will be invited to a special awards ceremony, where they will receive a trophy and a book voucher. To show they have completed each book, pupils are encouraged to submit a short video sharing their thoughts on the story, the characters, and whether they would recommend it to others. This initiative is designed to foster a love of reading, promote thoughtful reflection, and recognise the joy and achievement of reading for pleasure.
